JOHNSON & ACETO, LLP has extensive experience in the area of commercial and civil litigation and trials. The commercial and civil litigation practice group is dedicated to providing first-class legal representation at reasonable rates, while providing the proper attention and responsiveness that the client requires. The group litigates and tries cases in the state and federal courts of Massachusetts, Connecticut, California and various other states.

The practice group focuses on sophisticated and complex commercial disputes between businesses, often involving multiple parties and claims, various venue and jurisdictional issues, and parallel administrative, criminal and contempt actions. The group also provides expertise in the litigation areas of employment, real estate, personal injury, health care, landlord-tenant and construction. The type of clients range from successful business entrepreneurs to large national corporations. The group has significant experience in alternative dispute resolutions such as arbitration and mediation, which sometimes is a cost-effective means of resolution at an early stage of the proceedings.

Gregory J. Aceto, head of the practice group, has been a trial attorney for fifteen (15) years, the first two of which were as an attorney at the law firm of Paul, Hastings, Janofsky and Walker in Los Angeles, California and more than three (3) subsequent years as an associate at the Law Offices of J. Albert Johnson & Associates in Boston, Massachusetts. He has successfully tried to a jury complex commercial disputes in the Superior Courts of Essex, Middlesex, Plymouth and Suffolk Counties in Massachusetts. He has also litigated matters and conducted discovery in the federal and state courts of ten (10) other states, including Nevada, Florida, Rhode Island, New York, Colorado, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Michigan and New Hampshire and two (2) countries, the United Kingdom and France.
