Construction Law

JOHNSON & ACETO, LLP has extensive experience in the area of construction law. The construction law group is dedicated to providing first-class legal representation at reasonable rates, while providing the proper attention and responsiveness that the client requires. The group litigates and tries cases in the state and federal courts of Massachusetts, California, Connecticut and various other states.

The practice group focuses on construction disputes in the commercial and residential setting and for both private and public projects. The group represents owners, general contractors, sub-contractors, and suppliers in a wide variety of construction matters, including but not limited to the following: contract negotiation, contract disputes, mechanic’s liens, bond claims, indemnification and contribution claims, dispute resolution, mediation and arbitration.

Gregory J. Aceto, head of the practice group, has been a trial attorney for fifteen (15) years, the first two of which were as an attorney at the law firm of Paul, Hastings, Janofsky and Walker in Los Angeles, California and more than three (3) subsequent years as an associate at the Law Offices of J. Albert Johnson & Associates in Boston, Massachusetts. He has successfully tried to a jury complex commercial disputes in the Superior Courts of Essex, Middlesex, Plymouth and Suffolk Counties in Massachusetts. He has also litigated matters and conducted discovery in the federal and state courts of ten (10) other states, including Nevada, Florida, Rhode Island, New York, Colorado, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Michigan and New Hampshire and two (2) countries, the United Kingdom and France.
